I've been playing around (forever!) with the background on this blog and have finally come up with one that I liked. If you also have a blog and are thinking of a makeover, check out the website on the very top left corner.

Enjoy!

My mom got these amazing statement pieces from our trips throughout Europe and Indonesia. She loves anything that has a tribal feel to it. She's letting me steal--no...borrow her jewelry for looks that I'll be posting on FFSIE.

Hey everyone!

So. Surprisingly, I haven't even started my back to school shopping yet! Since I'm on more of a budget than past years (mostly because of the recession) I've been looking into getting the bulk of my new things from Urban Outfitters rather than a more expensive store. On their website they have the cutest cardigans and shoes. Aritzia, a trendy store among teens and 20 somethings, is really popular around where I live. Although I love some of their clothes, I notice that they're definitely not the best quality and are somewhat overpriced. Another con about the store is that, since there's always like 60 people in the store, the most common sizes in jeans are usually gone. If you buy your entire wardrobe from there, like the majority of my school, you're also bound to look alot like somebody else that day.

I've been trying to expand my wardrobe with more original pieces from places like Kensington Market, where I've found sunglasses which look like they're $80 but are actually $20. I'll post some pics up from my little trip with my friend Katie. We went into the most eccentric shops and saw some pretty interesting things (A plastic bowl of soup?!)

Btw..I'm going to start posting my outfits of the day and commenting on fall fashion shows soon so keep reading

Bye everyone

Hello my dears!

Fall has always been my favorite season and this one definitely does not disappoint. There are so many new trends and revivals, that I feel I should list them all out for you guys. Enjoy! And also note that trends are just indications of our times and do not necessarily have to be followed. Be yourself and wear whatever you like. Fashion is all about expression!

1. 80's Revival.
  • Bright neons (I'll be donning some hot pink tights!)
  • Bold shoulders. Yes, I know, the dreaded shoulder pads. Keep in mind though that this season, jackets (notably those from Balmain) have been chic and nothing like the ones you or your mother might have worn.
  • Cocoon Coats (80's is all about VOLUME.. be careful to balance your outfit with a voluminous top and sleek bottom, so you don't look like a walking marshmallow)
2. Goth (Reminder: Do not wear while grocery shopping)
  • Black leather. Shorts from Alexander Mcqueen anyone?
  • Leather jacket$.
  • Head to toe black.
  • Studs (Looks great on denim shorts!)
  • Silver chains. Necklaces, shoes, bracelets, everywhere! All at the same time for the daring.
3. Anti-PETA. Well at least that's what the runways have been all about.
  • Fur. Vests, gilets, coats, bags. Faux fur is so much better!
4. Metallics & Sequins

5. Yellows and Golds (Mix 2 together: Gold sequins? Black sequins?)

6. Thigh High Boots
  • Byebye ankle boots! Hello Christian Louboutin Supra Fifre 120 thigh-highs! Quite a mouthful isn't it?
7. Jeggings (Jean leggings)
  • Look for a darker wash!
8. Distressed Jeans
  • Not just ripped at the knee anymore, they've been bleached and ripped in millions of places. I'm thinking of just buying a nice pair of jeans and doing a little DIY project at home. Hopefully it won't turn into a complete disaster!
9. Hats

10. Shoulder Cutouts

And that's about it! I'm off to bed now. Gotta get up for work tomorrow! Bye guys!
